We meet in the storefront right next door to the Sweet Shop. Our address is 568 N. Chestnut St, Minonk, IL 61760.
Sunday service starts at 10:00 am. Doors will open at 9:30 am.
When we gather together each week, we will read, sing, preach, pray, and live God's Word. Since all Scripture is God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16-17), and God cannot lie (Titus 1:2), the Bible is our trustworthy foundation and authority for all of life. And since all of Scripture points to Jesus Christ (John 5:39; Luke 24:27, 44; 2 Corinthians 1:20; Hebrews 1:1-3), everything we do on a Sunday morning will point to Jesus too.
Redeemer Kids, our children's ministry, is available every Sunday from September-May for infants through 4th grade during our regular service time. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in your child(ren). You're also welcome to keep your kiddos in the main service with you. We like to encourage kids to be kids and love it when multiple generations learn from Jesus together, whether they do so in the main room or in the classrooms.
If you are reluctant to join us on a Sunday when Redeemer Kids is unavailable because you don't want your kids to be a distraction to others, please know that you and your kids are welcome, always. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 19:14). We aim to follow his instructions.
We have activity sheets and toys available, and if your little ones need to move around a bit, you're welcome to take them back to the cafe area where they can stretch their legs and you should still be able to hear the sermon. Please don't let worry hinder you or your children from being encouraged in the gospel through God's Word and God's people. Let's bring our chaos and our cares to Jesus together!
Redeemer is located in a storefront in downtown Minonk. There is public parking on Chestnut St. directly out front or around the corner on 6th St. You can also feel free to park in the public lot directly across the street (where the Minonk Chocolate Company is located). A wheelchair access ramp is located on the corner of 6th and Chestnut.
Casual dress, serious hearts. We're serious about our need for God's grace every minute of every day. We gather to fix our hearts on Jesus Christ, in whom all grace is found. His grace is not contingent upon what we look like on the outside. Instead, it's offered freely to anyone who comes to him in humility, whether they do so in a suit and tie or shorts and a T-shirt. (1 Samuel 16:7; Luke 18:9-14)
